My dear friends and colleagues,
I am Dr S K AGARWAl director of Recovery Nursing Home like to high light few points regarding surg in second wave. I had shared my observations few days back and similar things noticed by other doctors and it was published in leading news paper Times of India. Now I like to draw the attention of my learned colleagues about few points mention in the news paper------
1 -- A person taking 1st shot is susceptible to catching infection till the 8th day .
2-- Antibody reaches its peak in14 days and subsides until 2nd dose.
3-- After 1st dose he or she get infected and remain asymptomatic and become silent spreader.
4 -- Peoples are catching the virus while waiting for the jab at vaccination centres.
Now my point is this if person catching the virus while waiting for the jab, he or she should develop symptoms after 3 or 4 days because incubation period of covid is very short 2 to 3days. But we have noticed that vaccine recipient develope symptoms within 14 to 30 days , when the antibody reaches its peak , It means they are not catching virus while waiting at vaccination centres.
Secondly if antibody reaches its peak after 14 days then how vaccinated person catching virus during this peak period because according to experts after 1st shot person susceptible till 8th day.
Thirdly in last covid year 2020 we have noticed that the person who were roaming out without protection catches virus and spread it to their aged family members .
But in this 2nd wave , picture is different. Here vaccinated person catching virus after the vaccination and spreading in lower age group of their family members either silent asymptomatic spreader or actively symptomatic super spreader. Once middle aged person gets infected, very quickly goes into the complication and have to hospitalised .
So my learned colleagues please think deeply
1 Are we missing something ?
2 Is some thing wrong in the planning ?
3 Is some thing wrong in vaccination ?
4 Is this is a Mutant virus doing harm?
5 Is some thing like Tip of the iceberg?
We should find the solution urgently to cut the chain of transmission .
